Final Project for Ecology Center Unit

Hey All,

Below are the details (same as the handout) for the final project. The group presentation will happen in the near future, but make sure that the 1st and 3rd sections are handed in by THE END OF THE DAY, TUESDAY, MARCH 25TH.



Final project for Ecology Center Interdisciplinary Unit

Due no later than Tuesday, March 25th. Please develop a final project that meets the following requirements in a very detailed and descriptive way. Please type the Individual Reflection and Self and Peer Assessment and staple them into your journal.

Individual Reflection
Please describe what tasks you engaged in. For each component, please explain the following:
• What you accomplished as a group (if it was a group effort)
• What you individually contributed to the project
• What you learned along the way academically and otherwise
• How it addresses humans’ place in the ecosystem
• How the school and community will benefit from the project that you worked on.

Collaborative Presentation
Develop a presentation on your piece(s) of the Ecology Center. You should be able to:
• Articulate the hands-on work and research that your team did
• Explain the information that is presented in your display and why that information is important
• Describe what learning opportunities for others result from your work
• Identify additional or incomplete pieces that still need to be developed.

Self and Peer Assessment
• Identify approaches that your team took that worked well.
• Identify approaches that your team took that could have been improved.
• What is one thing that you did well?
• What is one thing that you could have done better?
• What is one thing each of your teammates did well?
• What is one thing each of your teammates could have done better?
